Separate the measures Measure Check before using it Orders Are cancelled or unpaid orders included? Retained merchandise Have recorded reversals been deducted, and at what cutoff? Seller result Which fees and costs are included or missing? Days to sell Which start date is used, and does it exclude unsold stock? Asking value Is this recorded unit ask or quantity-adjusted value? It is not revenue. Consignor amount due Does it reconcile with agreements, adjustments and payments? Keep populations comparable A report of sold items excludes stock that has not sold. A traffic sample may cover only part of the inventory. Show coverage and missing data, and avoid comparing windows or categories as if they were equivalent. ...
